The Value Of A Virtual Visit

When you’re exploring senior living options, either for yourself or a loved one, it’s critical to get as much information as possible. That’s why we recommend tours and other personal visits. But when circumstances mean you can’t get there right now, the next best thing is a virtual visit.  With a few clicks of your mouse, you can take the next steps toward determining the right choice for you and your family. Here are a few reasons why you should schedule a virtual visit soon.

1. Take a Closer Look.

This is a great opportunity to see the areas of a community that are of the most interest. Not only can your host show you floor plans you’re curious about, but they can also show you the fitness center, gardens, art room, or any other amenities and common areas.  You’ll be able to see how they’re laid out, how close the amenities are to each other, how well-maintained everything is, and how many residents are active in those areas.

2. Meet The People.

Just like you would on an in-person visit, you’ll get to spend time with a knowledgeable, friendly sales counselor. It’s a good way to get a feel for the kind of people who work at a community. It also lets them get to know more about you and what your retirement lifestyle goals are. You may also be able to say hello to other staff members or even spend some time with resident ambassadors.

3. Get Answers To Your Questions.

From food to financing and housing to health care, you probably have a lot of questions. Virtual visits are an ideal time to get them answered.  And don’t worry — there are no silly questions. You’re making an important decision, so write down all the questions you have and don’t hesitate to ask them.

4. Find A Good Fit.

A virtual visit will give you the opportunity to start seeing how a particular community fits into your plans. How do you or your loved one want to live now? What do you want to do about finding future health care? And how do this community’s culture, lifestyle and health services help you create the retirement lifestyle you want?
